He fished the lakes and creeks near the family's summer home at Walloon Lake, Michigan, and his first stories and reportage were often about his favorite sport. ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. He is one of the towering authors of the twentieth century.
Nick Lyons, formerly Professor of American Literature at Hunter College, has written extensively about fishing. He lives in New York City.
