Washington's venerable guidebook to statewide fishing adventures, Washington State Fishing Guide 9th edition, has been reformatted into a larger, 8'x11 inches, expanded to 416 pages, and enlarged with 50-plus lake and river maps including bottom contours, access roads, and boat launches. The first 8 editions were published in 5'x8' formats.
Increasing the page size and adding pages to the book are revisions designed to accommodate the addition of specific lake and river maps, provide an easier to read reference and increase the number of major feature articles on specific fish, family fishing programs, enlarge the descriptions and angling information on major fishing waters, and to more fully describe fresh and salt water fishing opportunities statewide. Terry W. Sheely lives, writes, and fishes on a multi-species lake on the western slope of Washington's Cascade Mountains. He co-founded a Washington fishing magazine, is a book and magazine editor and author, and his feature articles appear frequently in national and regional outdoor magazines. The author is a member of Outdoor Writers Association of America and a past president of the Northwest Outdoor Writers Association.
