WHAT THE EXPERTS ARE SAYING:
"From my years of teaching, I have found that almost anybody can learn the art of fly tying, and the initial expense can be very reasonable." - Doug Stewart

"For the millions of fly tiers in the U.S. and abroad, this book offers a better way to learn fly tying - with simpler, better-illustrated solutions & improvements on existing methods. Though directed mainly at the beginner, the author's creative approaches to fly tying, refined through years of development & teaching, will be of interest to any fly tyer. Unlike other fly-tying only how to tie it but how best to present it to a fish - and these asides are further enlivened with brief & timely anecdotes from the author's decades of fly fishing. Each fly pattern is also considered in the context of the food it imitates - the author provides a working knowledge of entomology yet does not bog the reader down in this as so many other books do.
