The son of a North Alabama trapper, Wayne Fears holds a degree in agriculture from Auburn University and a graduate degree in outdoor recreation from the University of Georgia. An accomplished writer and outdoorsman, Fears has authored more than 14 books on outdoor subjects and over 3,000 magazine articles for major magazines. He has been elected a member of the Explorer's Club for his work in the Arctic and is currently editor of 'Rural Sportsman' for Progressive Farmer.
