This unique game which plays on most all Windows compatible computers, simulates the sport of duck hunting. Unlike other hunting games, "Top Dog" allows you, the player, to train your hunting dog so that you can retrieve the fallen birds, even the ones that the dog can not see. The training is based on the proven methods taught in our acclaimed books and videos. Therefore, the fun and skill of the game is to not only shoot the ducks but also guide your retriever to those birds.

This exciting video game will ignite their interest in the outdoors and all of its traditions. "With this game, anyone who uses a computer can experience the joy of hunting with a dog and learn the basics of duck hunting and retrieving at the same time, " states Scott La Borde. the programmer of "Top Dog".
This game is divided into five stages: Selecting among six real waterfowl preserves in North America, choosing your accessories (shotgun, decoys, camo, and dog), training your dog in the four essential commands (remote sit, left over, right over, and back), shooting the ducks you lure into your decoys and having your dog retrieve those ducks(marks and blinds). It is very realistic with live action videos of hunting scenes throughout the game. The player can choose from three levels of skill: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
Your dog has his own intelligence; he gets fatigued and has to be rested; he does not like to run into the wind; and he will not obey your commands unless you have trained him. The ducks are also intelligent and will not come into range if you do not wear the right camo for the hunting local. They also fly away when they hear gun shots. In addition, your score is calculated in real time and is based on the number of birds shot, the number of birds retrieved and the time it takes to do this.
