'THE RUSSELL ANNABEL ADVENTURE SERIES. Limited Edition of 1,000 numbered, slipcased copies, signed by David Annabel & Dell Annnabel Lamey.

In this, the sixth volume in our Russell Annabel series, Dell Annabel Lamy and Jeff Davis searched for articles that Rusty wrote for more unusual publications, such as Hunting & Fishing, National Sportsman, Esquire, Argosy, Saturday Evening Post, and True as well as Field and Stream and Outdoor Life. These sources provided a wealth of stories dating from 1934 into the early 1950s. In this collection we again see Annabel shining as one of the great treasures of American literature. We hunters should be thankful that his subjects were always Alaska and hunting, for only Rusty Annabel could come up with story titles such as 'Shake Hands with Mr. Grizzly' and 'King of the Wolverines.' Rusty's imagination generated so many exciting tales that he inspired a generation with the tremendous lore and legend of Alaska's game lands. Alas, Rusty Annabel is gone, but his work remains, and these stories are the last of his unpublished writing. As Tex Cobb, Russell Annabel's famous mentor and eternal companion, was famous for saying, "Head fer the hills, " which is exactly what Rusty did.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Russell Annabel
was one of America's most outstanding & gifted outdoor writers; in fact, Ernest Hemingway said Annabel was "the finest outdoor writer" that he had ever read--an endorsement most writers can only dream about. Annabel started writing of his adventures in the Northland in the 1930s and continued writing until the late 1970s. Now for the first time, Safari Press is presenting his complete collection of magazine articles previously unpublished in book form! Follow him along in Alaska with his mentor, Tex Cobb, as Annabel faces enraged grizzlies, trophy Dall sheep, marauding wolverines, and mad moose. No other writer has ever been able to capture the spirit of Alaska like Russell Anabel.
