ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Sam Lucy is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Shooting Sportsman and Gray's Sporting Journal, as well as other outdoor & literary publications. He was born and raised on a New Hampshire farm, where he first hunted birds as a boy. Lucy worked as a builder, ski coach, commercial salmon fisherman, and dairy farmer before moving to Washington state in 1992. There he owns & operates a land-reclamation business and farms organic grains. Inspired by the late Gene Hill, he began writing seriously some 20 years ago. Holding Ground is his first book. Lucy lives with his family and their two aging gun dogs in the foothills of Winthrop, Washington.
