ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ray Rychnovsky is an award-winning writer and photographer. The Outdoor Writers Association of California named his first book, The Troller's Handbook, Best Book of the year in 1999. He is the top photo award winner in OWAC with twelve best photo awards and his photos have won several national awards including two first place awards in the scenic category of the Outdoor Writers Association of America photo contests. Ray has fished the Sacramento and many of its tributaries. He fishes the Delta regularly and has fished many of the lakes in this valley. He has caught most of the anadromous and freshwater fish described in the book using his experience and the expertise of local guides and fishermen to write this book.
