ABOUT THE WINKELMANS:
As host of the award-winning, nationally broadcast "Good Fishing" and "Outdoor Secrets" television shows and a well-known corporate spokesman, Babe Winkelman's name and face is recognized by millions. He co-founded the Minnesota Bass Federation and the Masters Walleye Circuit. He was inducted into the prestigious Sports Legends Hall of Fame in 1992; the Fresh Water Hall of Fame in 1988; and the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame in 2001. As a lifelong hunter, his trophies include everything from turkeys to sharptails, whitetail to moose, mule deer to caribou.
Although Kris Winkelman is not a professionally trained chef, as she puts it "When you're married to Babe Winkelman-a man whose appetite for hunting and fishing is exceeded only by his appetite for eating game-you learn your way around the kitchen in a hurry." The countless days they spent together developing recipes for this book were every bit as enjoyable as the days devoted to collecting the game. Kris and Babe live in Minnesota.
