'Most people know the late Lee Wulff as the world's foremost salmon angler. Few, if any, think of him as a skilled airplane pilot and explorer. But he was both, as Lee himself reveals in this extraordinary memoir. Based on an unpublished manuscript that was uncovered only recently by his widow, this book tells the story of the years in which Lee pioneered the fabulous salmon and brook trout fisheries on the remote coast of Newfoundland. Having established outpost camps by boat, he quickly realized that getting clients and supplies in and out would require a plane. So Lee cut a film deal with Piper Aircraft and learned to fly a J3 Cub on floats. In this book, readers will soar with him--low over moose in muskeg bogs, high through unpredictable mountain gusts, and blind in thick fog and smothering darkness. Bush Pilot Angler is a marvelous story of courage, love, flying, and fishing.
