'This superb illustrated book celebrates bass fishing from its wildly popular nostalgic past to today's primetime pro-tour events.

The bass is the ruler of fresh water lakes and reservoirs. Since the 1960s it has surpassed trout as the most-prized gamefish for American anglers and the popularity of bass fishing has exploded across the country. From Florida to California, from Canada to Mexico, over 30 million fishermen are hooked on this sport.

Now Hooked! celebrates that passion. Written by six nationally acclaimed fishing experts, this lavish compendium puts readers on the water with vivid tales of catching the big one - or sometimes catching no more than a dose of humility. More than mere entertainment, Hooked! is a useful piece of equipment. The worlds of the largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass are opened up along with photographic essays on how bass feed and sense their surroundings. Shrewd advice on hardware, as well as information on environmental factors, such as the season of the year, the moon, rain, and wind are provided. And all this engaging and informative text is set alongside superb, detailed illustrations and more than 200 beautiful photographs.

Hooked! is the where, when, and how of finding and catching the kings of the lake.
