ABOUT THE AUTHOR Matt Leidecker grew up ski racing and playing in the mountain town of Ketchum, Idaho. Initiated by family adventures, and nurtured by the outdoor program at his high school, Matt fell in love with the wilderness. He began working with a whitewater rafting company on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River during high school in 1991, and has worked full-time every summer since.
Matt began taking photographs during a climbing adventure to Patagonia in 1997 with his brother Erik, and has continued to shoot images of the Middle Fork and other outdoor locations. Entirely self taught, Matt's work has been featured in a variety of publications, including Off Piste, Middlebury Magazine, and Travel & Leisure Magazine. This is his first book of photography.
