ABOUT THE AUTHORS Coauthors David Mouser and Louis Perella both reside on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
David Mouser began fly fishing in his spare time as he pursued his college degree from the University of Missouri's prestigious School of Journalism. He has been a publisher for the past fifteen years but recently launched his writing career with Harry Potter's Muggles Guide to Magic (a synopsis of the popular Harry Potter novels). An avid outdoorsman, David has pursued his passion for fly fishing for four decades. Traveling fly-water fisheries on numerous continents has focused his energies on worldwide fly-fishing destinations and adventures.
While the only rod that Louis Perella swung until coauthoring this book was a baseball bat at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, he quickly caught the fever that has affected all serious fly fishermen. Since his early retirement from flooring industry, he rekindled a longtime friendship with David that took the pair to the streams of North America.
Thus began the adventure that has taken the coauthors thousands of miles, from Maine to Alaska, in search of the pinnacles of fly fishing. They encountered many different species of trout in their travels, and experienced a multitude of wild outdoor streams and lakes. After visiting numerous lodges and resorts, the authors came away with a wonderful overview of what North America has to offer any fly fisherman, whether beginner or old-timer.
"We are just a couple of guys going fly fishing and we hope you will enjoy our adventures as much as we did bringing them to life in words and pictures."
This book reveals the secret moments of "time in the stream" in addition to the unique people that welcomed David and Louis to their special destinations.
